Scrite is an open-source project with its full source code available on GitHub. We provide pre-built binaries on this website for ease of use. Support and services against paid subscription plans are only provided for users of pre-built binaries only, provided they agree to the terms of use outlined in this page.
Getting Started
To use our pre-built binaries, you need to download Scrite for Windows, macOS or Linux desktop from this website, and install it.
After installation, you will need to sign up and activate each installation on your desktop or laptop device. Activation requires your email ID, and up to 3 installations can be activated per email ID.
Note: Early adopters or existing public beta users must update to the latest version of Scrite to continue using the app and/or sign up for a subscription plan. If you have activated Scrite on more than three desktop devices previously, you will now be able to activate it on only up to three devices going forward.
Free Trial
All features in the pre-built binaries are available to you for free for one month from the date of first activation. The free trial begins when you sign up and activate the product for the first time on any of your desktop devices. This trial period will be consistent across all your installations.
Subscription Plan
After enjoying your one-month free trial, continued access to Scrite requires a yearly subscription. This subscription ensures that you can keep using all features of the product without interruption. If you decide not to subscribe, some or all features may be disabled or locked out.
We offer the following subscription options:
- Standard Subscription: ₹1,999 per year for subscribers from India, $29 for subscribers from outside India.
- Discounted Rate: ₹999 per year for early adopters from India, $19 for early adopters from outside India who signed up or activated a public beta of Scrite on any of their desktop or laptop devices on or before 15th November 2024. This discounted rate is available only if paid before 31st March 2025.
Prices are inclusive of 18% GST. If you are an Indian subscriber and wish to avail input credit, you must provide your business information during payment. GST invoices will be sent to your email upon request and will be issued only 45 days after payment is made.
Subscriptions do not auto-renew. When your subscription period ends, Scrite will notify you, and you will need to manually renew the subscription. WE cannot guarantee that the renewal price will remain the same.
Note: Please ensure you are satisfied with Scrite during your one-month trial before purchasing a subscription. Once paid, subscriptions cannot be canceled or refunded. Subscriptions are not auto-renewed.
Support and Services
Support and services are provided only for users of the pre-built binaries available from our website. We do not offer support for third-party builds generated from our source code.
Support can be requested on our Discord community, where users can post questions, report bugs, and seek assistance. Paid subscribers also have the option to seek support via email by writing to support@scrite.io. We aim to respond to support queries within ten business days.
Activation and Access
Once you subscribe, your subscription will be activated on all of your installations within 24 hours. If you have any issues or questions, please contact us on support@scrite.io
Cancellation and Refunds
Our subscription plans are pre-paid for one year. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree that your payment is non-refundable and non-cancellable. Please read our complete cancellation and refund policy here.
